About me

My name is Alena Quartermaine and I am an integrative counsellor, currently working in private practices in Southfields, Wimbledon area and in Fulham, close to Putney area.  I offer individual,
one to one (short and long term) counselling and psychotherapy for adults as well as couples counselling.
My professional training is in integrative counselling, which means that I draw upon different counselling and psychotherapy approaches to fit individual client’s or couple's needs. 
My special interest is in counselling for relationships, depression, low self- esteem and lack of confidence.

I hold an Edexcel Level 5 BTEC Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and NCFE Level 2 and 3 Certificates in Counselling Skills and Theory.  As a part of my ongoing professional development
I have attended various trainings.  Among these is Training in Counselling Children, Families and Young people, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy training (CBT) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming Diploma (NLP).
I am an accredited member of The National Counselling Society (CS), recognizing me as safe, competent and ethical to practise the vocation of counselling.   
I am also a member of British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).  I adhere to the BACP’s ethical framework for good practice.
